Boo!
Just read this in a leaflet that just plopped onto my desk.
“Imagine stepping on a tack. Your whole body reacts because of something perceived by the foot. Reflexology with a full range of pressure sensors, utilizes the same body system of fight or flight to relax the body.”
Surely that’s a load of old knob. The reaction you get when standing on a pin is one of “argh! Get me away from the pointy pin pain.” Rather than “Oooh! do I fight the pin or run away from it”
However if they are correct that the fight or flight instinct can be relaxing, then I’m starting my own clinic. The main treatment will involve cockney thugs running after patients with spanners.
Glug!
